For this release, I focus on three quick tips to help navigate the Looker interface. You can find all the details of 21.6 in the release notes and changelog. Here’s what I’ll go over:

  • Users can now do a quick search for LookML objects in the IDE using the keyboard shortcut Command + J. You can find the full list of keyboard shortcuts here.
  • Columns in the data pane of Explore queries now show helpful visual cues to know how the data is sorted (ascending vs descending and the sort order).
  • Custom fields now support descriptions.

If you missed our review on release 21.4, you can check it out here.
